Note: New federal ethnicity and race categories were implemented in the fall of 2010. However, this information was incomplete at the time of publication so previous
categories were used for 2010-11. The federal IPEDS definition is used for reporting international employees. Employees with a visa type of permanent resident are
not reported in the non-resident alien category but with their ethnic group. Part of the increase in Hispanic employees may be due to the change in ethnic categories
requiring all faculty who are part Hispanic to be reported as Hispanic instead of with their other ethnic group.
