Note: New federal ethnicity and race categories were implemented in the fall of 2010. However, this information was incomplete at the time of publication so previous categories
were used for 2010-11. The IPEDS federal definition is used for reporting international employees. Employees with a visa type of permanent resident are not reported in the
non-resident alien category but in their ethnic group. A portion of the increase in Hispanic employees may be due to the change in ethnic categories requiring all employees who
are part Hispanic to be reported as Hispanic instead of with their other ethnic group.
